the little bouquet that could
I’m keeping a secret: I’ve been taking floral design classes!
This was my first passing hand-tied bouquet at Lacy Bird Academy, and while it may look like it’s just some greenery, it’s more than that to me.
It’s a milestone.
My assignment was about learning the spiral technique, and my instructor had no notes! She said my spiral was free of gaps, all my stems were sitting at consistent angles, and the finished bouquet had a beautiful, round shape.
There is something so beautiful and meaningful to me about my first passing bouquet being made of nothing but greenery. There’s nothing to hide behind. There’s just the stems, the mechanics, and the movement.
And I got it right.
It seems small, but I am really proud.
The little bouquet that could.
