bringing me back

I made this today.

Honestly, my mechanics let me down. The flowers were also already little wilted, and honestly, so am I.

I think that’s what this last week has felt like too. Like the things underneath me that are supposed to hold everything together just fell apart.

My birthday brought me to a place where I didn’t feel like myself, and my mind has been so chaotic and dark at times.

But sitting with flowers makes everything feel a little quieter.

Things don’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Even when I can’t show up the way I want to, there is still something worth creating.

And maybe everything doesn’t have to be perfectly held together to have beauty.

And maybe I don’t have to be either.

I can admit that I am a little wilted right now, but there is beauty here nonetheless.

I will be back to myself.

Even if I have to rebuild everything that holds me together.

And in the meantime, I’ll keep making beautiful things even on the days I don’t feel very beautiful myself.

One stem at a time.

The flowers will bring me back.
