there was still more to see

She came from what was left over—the stems I almost put aside, the ones that didn’t really have a place in the first design.

I almost saw them as leftovers.

But I still wanted to practice, so I gathered them again and tried looking at them differently.

I changed the center flower. I moved the stems. I let the flowers lean where they wanted to lean.

Then they became something completely new.

This little arrangement taught me that floral design isn’t always about having more. Sometimes it’s about looking at what you already have and giving it another chance to become something beautiful.

There is still so much to learn from the stems already in my hands.

Sometimes I just need to look again.

I don’t always need more. I don’t always need something new.

I just need to slow down long enough to notice what was already there.

And today, there was still more to see.
